ARKANSAS: “Both sides ask for ruling on Ark. adoption ban”

Both sides in a lawsuit filed by the Arkansas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union seeking to overturn Arkansas’ ban on unmarried couples fostering or adopting children, have filed motions for summary judgment. The ACLU, Arkansas Family Council and Arkansas Attorney General’s Office have all filed the motions, asking the judge to rule in their favor; a hearing on the motions is expected on April 8th.
